the Lenovo ThinkPad X300
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – February 26, 2008 – Lenovo today unveiled its highly-anticipated ThinkPad X300 notebook PC, designed for today's most demanding road warriors, and the thinnest and lightest full-function notebook in its class1. The ultra-thin, ultraportable ThinkPad X300 notebook measures less than three-fourths of an inch at its thinnest point, or approximately the height of a U.S. quarter coin, and has a starting weight as low as 2.9 pounds2.
The ThinkPad X300 combines a number of leading technologies such as solid-state drive storage, a LED backlit display, ultralong battery life and enhanced wireless connectivity. Rated Gold by the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) for its superior environmental attributes, it also features a number of environmentally-conscious technologies, such as low-voltage processors.
"The ThinkPad X300 notebook marks a major milestone for the ThinkPad family," said Peter Hortensius, senior vice president, Notebook Business Unit, Lenovo. "ThinkPad has been pioneering notebook PC design for more than 15 years, raising the bar on innovation, and focusing on the core needs of ThinkPad users, namely quality, reliability and functionality. Our customers told us that they wanted a notebook that was amazingly thin and light, but that they still wanted their battery options, their USB ports and of course, their DVD burner. Well the waiting is over, and it's all there in the ThinkPad X300, our thinnest and lightest ThinkPad ever."

water resistant notebook from sony
Sony has announced an original craggy laptop, the VAIO Type G will provide security against spills, scratching and being dropped. The VAIO Type G includes a drainage structure under the palm remainder with drainage holes on the side of the notebook. If something is spilled the notebook will automatically close itself downward and drain the liquid, it is too recommended to get the notebook professionally checked just to be certain no farther harm was done. Along with the drainage structure Sony has added a particular covering to the LCD that will assist forbid scratching, the notebook can too resist a decline from 35. 5-inches when turned away or 28-inches when running. The VAIO Type G will begin at $1500 and be launched in Japan, no language on an US departure appointment. With as more harm caused by spilled liquids I am surprised to view this as the best example, sounds like something that we needed a lengthy moment ago.

New Laptop Designs from Samsung's
Two original Samsung laptops debuting in the UK are unbelievably cool-looking. The M70 has a detachable 19-inch widescreen LCD exhibit (Samsung says it's the best of its sort, though I can't be utterly certain), so you can just go the system of the laptop if you're going someplace that you can punch in the unit's system to another exhibit. That'll assistance with portability. And of class, on the new hand, you can too link the 19-inch exhibit to a house PC as easily. Other features of the M70 include a nVidia Geforce Go 6600 artwork subsystem, LCD docking birthplace, four USB ports, full-sized keyboard and the latest Intel Centrino mobile mainframe microchip.
The X1 is also new and extremely light and slim. It's got a top-loading optical disc drive, and the keyboard location makes it easier to tote around with its 14-inch widescreen LCD display. It weighs about 4 pounds and includes includes DVI-out as well as a SRS Sound System, 'Wide Speakers' and PC Card-sized remote control.
